This day, all the exchange girls visiting Herschel spent the day at Bishops Diocesan College, also known as Bishops, an all boys schools situated in Rondebosch. Bishops was founded in 1849 by the Bishop of Cape Town. The school grounds are extremely large, with beautiful sport fields, swimming pools, chapels, and different boarding houses. We all got partnered up with a boy from Bishops from grade 11 or 12, who showed us around and we followed (most) of their classes. What was quite remarkable is that all the boys are divided over different houses. So every boy goes to a different house, where they basically have lunch and just chill. I think this is really cool! I would love to have something like this in Holland as well, and I think it's a shame Herschel doesn't have anything like this.
As you might can imagine, it was quite an experience for us girls to be surrounded by so many boys. It was an interesting experience.
